Senior Director – Marketing & Strategy

Fay provides research that creates unique insights to help develop effective Strategic Plans and produce relevant annual operating plans. She also leads market research services to help nonprofits drive compelling fund development planning, staff productivity and job satisfaction, and operating effectiveness. With more than 25 years of senior-level expertise, Fay is passionate about finding innovative ways to help nonprofits excel in today’s changing landscape.

A longtime volunteer, Fay has provided leadership to local and national nonprofits in Texas, Oklahoma, Missouri, and Washington, D.C. From frontline volunteer work at schools, churches, and food banks to board appointments with a variety of nonprofit business associations, Fay has honed strong skills in the nonprofit arena. She has also served as a national committee member for TransComm and COMTO industry associations.

She is especially interested in helping nonprofits see their organizations through the lenses of their clients and donors. Many organizations are empowered when they move from activities to impacts with intellect developed via in-person or online interviews and survey questionnaires.

Fay has 25 years of senior-level expertise as a C-suite director, vice president, or national consultant in government, healthcare, nonprofit, small and mid-cap businesses, and Fortune corporations. This includes Gateway to Hope, Sickle Cell Association, Provident, United Way of Metropolitan Dallas, Care Navigation and Advocacy, St. Louis Community College, Monsanto Fund, GM, AT&T, and others.

She has also worked as a University adjunct professor at Washington (St. Louis), Harris-Stowe, National Louis, and the University of Missouri at St. Louis – in the areas of marketing, research and small business development.

She enjoys working with teams and frequently presents keynotes, webinars and training sessions for national nonprofits and conferences. She also worked as a regional facilitator for the Small Business Administration, teaching small businesses how to grow into mid-cap companies.

Fay earned an MA in marketing from Webster University and a BA in finance from the University of Oklahoma. She has done postgraduate work in communications and strategic branding. Fay also has research certificates from The Burke Institute and RIVA institutes. Additionally, she just completed a national accreditation as a CEPA, which helps organizations improve internal processes or transitions.

A former newspaper and magazine columnist, Fay is also a published author and poet. When not working, she enjoys outdoor activities, live music, museums and traveling.
